How to submit:

Your e-mail query should be a one-page letter with no e-mail attachments (attachments will not be downloaded).  It should include a brief summary of your story, and all pertinent information concerning the author.  Don't ramble, get right to the point.  What is your story about?  What genre?  What is the word count of your book?  You would be amazed at the number of queries I receive that do not include the genre and length of the story.  All responses will be through e-mail, and all paper queries will be recycled.   

Please send all queries to Query@vivianbeck.com.  It would be helpful if you typed "QUERY" in the subject line.

Response time:

• Query Letters - 1-12 months
• Partial Manuscripts - 3-12 months
• Full Manuscripts - 6-12 months.

Please Note:  The above deadlines are estimates only!  The response time of requested submissions may vary depending upon the needs of our clients and the number of manuscripts currently under consideration.  

What to expect: 

If the story intrigues me, the author is invited to submit a partial manuscript (a synopsis and the first three chapters), or a synopsis and the completed manuscript.  As of January 15th, 2007, the Vivian Beck Agency will accept only Electronic Submissions!   Instructions on how to submit will be included in the e-mail request to review your work.
